"I had one of my top ten days of fishing in my life on July 14, 2009 with Kevin Morlock, from Beaver Isl. MI. We caught a bunch of large Carp in gin clear water, on a 9wt. fly rod! The smallest was 8lb. and up to 21lbs, with the normal fish being 12-15lbs! My shoulder is still tired. What a thrill in this clear water and a great fight with fish going into the backing 3 or 4 times. I am 54 and have fly fished north to south, east to west and both fresh and salt. These fish are exceptionally fun to stalk, present to, and catch.
Kevin is an excellent guide, good coach and a nice person! It was a wonderful day and I would highly recommend a trip if you love catching large, hard fighting, fish in a beautiful environment. Thank you Kevin, I will be back for more!!" Mike McDaniel
Michigan Fishing Charter and Guide Service Information
Michigan has endless vacation possibilities and the Lake Michigan shoreline has the best of it all. West Michigan is a year around vacation destination offering small cities to quaint villages with mile after mile of pure sand beaches, interesting dinning choices, shopping and a lively night life.
Sport fishing in our area is unmatched, whether your looking for a guided river trip down the Pere Marquette River, Manistee River or Muskegon River with one of our seasoned river guides or a Lake Michigan Charter with Captain Steve or Kevin. Charter fishing in the Ludington area is excellent, known for being the busiest sport fishing port in the Great Lakes. While salmon fishing is the main target of our areas charters many boats also target steelhead and trout.
Our Michigan fishing charters are unique among many of the areas other charters in that we fish near-shore in smaller boats. This allows for a more individualized experience and an opportunity for learning. We rarely use rod holders, so customers have the experience of casting, presenting and feeling the strike with their bare hands. The smaller boats also give us the option of quickly switching ports with any change in fishing conditions to stay on the hottest bite. Getting into smaller areas like the river mouth, deltas and marina areas is easy with our boats but impossible for the larger charters. The smaller boats also allow us to go after a greater variety of fish such as salmon, steelhead, brown trout, lake trout, smallmouth bass, northern pike and carp.
